Well Scott started the month of May travelling and attending a youth conference and meetings in Piura.
May 1st is dia de trabajador (labour day) in Peru so it is a national holiday, however there was no rest for Jess and Sam as they spent a large part of the day sorting out more clothes and toys to give away since we are moving house in a few weeks! Our landlord plans to sell our house to property developers, this is not a huge surprise to us, many houses in Cusco are being destroyed to build multistorey apartments. So after 3 happy years in this house we are on the move again, it will be our 5th house in 5 years living in Peru but such is the life of a missionary family. They told us at language school we would need a bible in one hand and a suitcase in the other!
Thankfully we have found a house to rent very close to our current house. It is a good size and has a large back garden for the children to play in . The main problem is that the road is currently being dug up so moving is going to be very interesting!
Later on this month all 4 of us are going to the jungle for a holiday to celebrate some birthdays.
Please pray for us , the month of May suddenly became much busier !

Schools work in Huambutio
Last week we started our health project in the Huambutio school.
Some of our team are teaching the children how to be physically , spiritually and emotionally healthy during their weekly tutorial time. During the sessions we are also doing individual health checks on each child in the class, a few each week and treating the whole class with anti-parasite meds.
Well who would have thought going to the doctors was such fun?
We are getting to know the families in the community and the kids are certainly enjoying playing with the toys in the clinic!

Tearing down the walls.
This week we received permission to completely demolish the existing structure of the adobe house that we have purchased for the new church building. We have hired some workmen to do this part since the house is attached to the neighbouring adobe houses and we need to be very careful not to knock down the neighbours' houses at the same time!
It is incredibly exciting seeing the remaining walls coming down ....

Inca Trail
This week Scott had the privilege of walking the Inca Trail. The rest of the family went to meet him at Machu
Picchu at the end which was very exciting since it was Jess and Sam's
first time there.
We are so proud of him walking for 4 days at high altitude, he really enjoyed it and describes it as a very spiritual experience, having a lot of time to pray and reflect as well as appreciate God's amazing creation while he was hiking up the mountains!
He even has the T Shirt to prove that he did it!

Fun with the family
We are having a terrific time with Anjanette's sister and her family visiting us. The thing we miss most about the UK is always family and friends, so it is wonderful to be able to share our lives in Cusco with them . We have introduced them to our friends and work colleagues here in Cusco but one of our favourite activities has been enjoying God's beautiful creation together.

Good Friday at the regional hospital
A few of us from El Puente joined the tour agency SAS Travel in a special lunch in the grounds of the regional hospital where we shared the Easter message and sang some songs. The relatives of patients who live in the campo (countryside) far away from Cusco received a delicious nutritious meal. It was a privilege to be involved in these celebrations.

And the work begins........
We plan to completely destroy the existing adobe house before we begin the construction.
We are so grateful to our amazing provider God for all that he is doing at El Puente Iglesia.
