Back from the beach

We have just returned from a fabulous family holiday, we spent a week at the beach with some friends in the North of Peru. We really enjoyed feeling the hot sun and escaping from the  rainy season in Cusco.

We have returned refreshed and relaxed, with our batteries recharged grateful for the opportunity to enjoy time together and to experience God's wonderful creation.

Now we are gearing up for the return back to school and our busy work schedules. March 1st in Peru is a bit like September 1st in the UK when everyone gets back into their routines ready for  the new school year. Please pray for Jess and Sam as they go back to school after a 10 week break!

Celebrating Valentine's day Peruvian Style

Pastor Scott and some of the men from church organised a meal for their wives to celebrate "Dia del amor." We ate a delicious meal and played games and had a great time celebrating together, in true latino style each person took it in turns to tell their spouse how much they love them, for us reserved brits it was quite a new experience!

Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication

Jess and Sam outside the existing building

the adobe bricks inside the building should be easy to knock down.

First service at our new site for El Puente Iglesia

 Dedicating the site to God

 sharing Communion together

We ended our day of prayer and fasting by sharing the Lord's Supper together at the site of our new church building. Even though the building will soon be completely destroyed and rebuilt, it was great to meet together to worship and thank God for his faithfulness and to dedicate the new site to him. As you can imagine it was quite an emotional service for El Puente Iglesia!

Great news for El Puente

This week El Puente Iglesia Cusco has purchased an adobe (mud and straw brick) house in Ttio, Cusco which will be the site for our new spiritual home.
We plan to knock down the adobe walls and to construct a purpose built two-storey church building.
We are all absolutely delighted that we will soon have our own permanent "Templo" and we are really excited about the future plans.
We would like to thank everybody who has supported the project financially and prayerfully; we know many people have given sacrificially and that has been a wonderful example to our Cusco church family.
It is a work in progress and we have enough money to complete the ground floor and to start the second floor. Now it is over to El Puente Iglesia to raise the rest.
Please join us in rejoicing and giving thanks for the wonderful way God has provided for us.
