Back in Cusco

Exactly Three months and 10 flights later we were overjoyed to finally arrive back at Cusco Airport .
We have spent a lot of time in airports in Peru, Lima, USA, England and Scotland checking in and collecting bags and it was good to see them all arrive back in Cusco with just a few minor mishaps.

We were a little surprised that nobody from El Puente Iglesia was at the airport to meet us but the real surprise was when we walked into our house to find the entire church was waiting for us. Since Peruvians are not known for their time keeping the party organiser asked them to be there 2 hrs earlier than was actually necessary so some of them had actually been waiting for us for that length of time.

They shouted  "Sorpresa!" and burst a balloon full of paper and Anjanette promptly burst into tears, it was a fabulous but emotional reunion. Soon the whole church was eating and relaxing in our home as usual and it felt as if we had never even been away.

Thank you for praying for us during our home assignment. This time we found it very exhausting and  challenging for various reasons and we appreciated your prayers for us during our time away from Cusco.
