Last week we started our health project in the Huambutio school.
Some of our team are teaching the children how to be physically , spiritually and emotionally healthy during their weekly tutorial time. During the sessions we are also doing individual health checks on each child in the class, a few each week and treating the whole class with anti-parasite meds.
Well who would have thought going to the doctors was such fun?
We are getting to know the families in the community and the kids are certainly enjoying playing with the toys in the clinic!

Tearing down the walls.
This week we received permission to completely demolish the existing structure of the adobe house that we have purchased for the new church building. We have hired some workmen to do this part since the house is attached to the neighbouring adobe houses and we need to be very careful not to knock down the neighbours' houses at the same time!
It is incredibly exciting seeing the remaining walls coming down ....

Inca Trail
This week Scott had the privilege of walking the Inca Trail. The rest of the family went to meet him at Machu
Picchu at the end which was very exciting since it was Jess and Sam's
first time there.
We are so proud of him walking for 4 days at high altitude, he really enjoyed it and describes it as a very spiritual experience, having a lot of time to pray and reflect as well as appreciate God's amazing creation while he was hiking up the mountains!
He even has the T Shirt to prove that he did it!

Fun with the family
We are having a terrific time with Anjanette's sister and her family visiting us. The thing we miss most about the UK is always family and friends, so it is wonderful to be able to share our lives in Cusco with them . We have introduced them to our friends and work colleagues here in Cusco but one of our favourite activities has been enjoying God's beautiful creation together.
