BMS World Mission Peru Retreat

We are off on retreat, hopefully in for a treat........

This week Mon 10th May - Friday 14th May our Peru BMS Team will be on retreat in a place called Cieneguilla just outside of Lima.

We will retreat with Margaret, who has worked in Lima for 5 years (also for 20 years before that in Brazil) and Gill and Harland and their family who have been working in Iquitos for the last 7 months . Stuart Christine the BMS regional secretary of Latin America will be with us and our speaker for the retreat is Margaret Gibbs who is the BMS regional secretary for Asia. We hope that Jacki one of the Cusco radicales who lives in Lima will be with us to run some kids activities.

We have been in Peru now for 21 months and we are feeling tired. This month we are due to come home for our 3 month home assignment , but have pushed that back 5 months to the end of October 2010 so that it coincides with the childrens' long school holiday after Christmas . Rather than trying to wind down and take it easy for the next few months as we look to come home our work is busier than ever!!

We have important issues to plan and discuss with Stuart during the retreat about our work in Yucay and in Cusco.

We pray for good meetings with Stuart and Pastor Pepe the convention president and more importantly that the retreat will be a great time of Physical and Spiritual refreshment for us all.
